This 5-day Uganda safari offers an incredible adventure, combining the thrill of gorilla and chimpanzee trekking with the beauty of Uganda’s lush landscapes. You’ll have the rare opportunity to trek through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to see endangered mountain gorillas up close, followed by an unforgettable chimpanzee experience in Kibale National Park. Along the way, enjoy scenic drives, wildlife sightings, and cultural encounters, making it the perfect blend of wildlife and nature in East Africa.

DAY 1:Arrival in Entebbe, Transfer to the Crater Lakes area in Kibale
Morning arrival at Entebbe airport and meeting with our guide. Soon after, you will be heading east to the Kibale Crater Lakes area. It’s a long drive, so expect a full day in the car.
We will stop for lunch at Fort Portal and stretch at places with nice scenery, such as the escarpment of the valley at Lake Albert, typical African villages in the nearby countryside, tea plantations along the road, etc.

DAY 2: Chimpanzee Trek, Kazinga Channel
A morning trek for chimpanzees in Kibale National Park , the main activity of the day, is followed by an exploration of the lake region and a drive south through Queen Elizabeth National Park with views of the nearby Rwenzori Mountains .
After lunch, two-hour boat cruises on the famous Kazinga Canal (36 km), which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. You will see a lot of hippos, buffaloes, crocodiles, but also warthogs, antelopes, elephants and various birds.

DAY 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park, Ishasha Sector
You will have a transfer to Southern Ishasha Sector for the famous tree-climbing lion. You will also have a chance to sight other animals in their habitat.
Overnight Buhoma Community Rest Camp.
DAY 4: Trek for gorillas in Bwindi National Park
Early breakfast and after that transfer to the gate of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park . After registration and training, you will set out on foot to meet the majestic gorillas.

DAY 5: Transfer to Entebbe, departure
After breakfast we leave for the final journey to Entebbe. Along the way we will stop for lunch at the equator.
If possible, also a stop and observation of a prehistoric-looking African wagtail bird.
Arrival in Entebbe to catch the evening flight. Alternatively, you can sleep and fly the following day.
